FBLA Advisor
Senior Class Sponsor

Story by: Jillian Kennedy
Mrs. Egan is a patient, caring, kind, respectful, efficient, unique, and sweet high school teacher. She recently joined the Wheatland staff as our new business teacher, FBLA advisor, and the senior class sponsor. Mrs. Egan’s favorite hobby is gardening. When I asked her why gardening, she claimed “it’s relaxing, and I grow my own food.” Since gardening takes a great deal of patience, it just shows how patient she truly can be.
“Thank God” by Kane Brown is currently Mrs. Egan’s favorite song which tracks right along with her favorite music genre, country. This genre makes her feel “happy, sad, [and/or] grateful depending on the tune.” She also get comfort watching The Real Housewife series and/or various cop shows.
If she could be in anyone’s shoes for one day, Mrs. Egan said she would like to be the President of the United States so she could “know all of the secret information and…just run the world for the day.”
Mrs. Egan showed her sweet and caring side when asked about her biggest goal in life right now. She said it’s “raising two successful daughters.”
A debate people have is if perfection is reachable, so I asked Mrs. Egan if she thought it was or not. She answered, “We are only human. We make mistakes no matter what!”
Many people think the world is going to end in deranged ways but Mrs. Egan thinks going to end in World War III.
She looks up her grandmother because she was very close to her grandmother growing up. She said her grandmother was “Really independent” and her “main priority was her family”. Mrs. Egan’s grandmother helped raise her, and it’s clear her grandmother did an wonderful job.
Mrs. Egan said one of her unique features is that “no matter what the situation is, I laugh.” Another thing you might not have known about Mrs. Egan is that she believes in aliens.
Her advice to people is to “stay nice, treat [others] with kindness even in the bad times.” She encourages others to use this advice even if the other person isn’t being nice to you. It’s hard, but in the end, you’ll have peace.
