The Wheatland Lady Mules played some good games in the Hermitage Tournament. The Lady Mules took on and defeated FairPlay (61-12) and Hillcrest (51-37). Our Lady Mules took on Macks Creek and lost with a score of 68-35, but they still proudly brought home the second place trophy in the tournament overall.
Junior Chloe Pearson talked about the Hermitage Tournament saying, “In the first two games, we worked hard, but I don’t think we worked up to our potential in our last game.” She echoed the team’s disappointment, but overall the team has positive expectations for the rest of the season ahead.
Alyssa Roberts agreed with Pearson when she said, “The game against Hillcrest we played really well, and I feel like we should have carried our energy over to Macks Creek.”
Head Coach Bryan said, “There was a lot of positive that we could take away from the tournament, although it didn’t end as we wanted it to.”
Sophomore Kiarah Blation said she was “…ready to meet Mack’s Creek again to beat them.”
