Wheatland’s FBLA Team went to district competition on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023. They participated in a variety of competitions. The following students recieved medals in the following categories:

Accounting 2 – David Martinez – 4th place 

Broadcast Journalism – Chloe Pearson & Taylor Gant – 3rd place 

Business Plan– Delaney Dickenson & Justine Park -1st place

Database Design – Justine Park – 1st place

Intro to Business Concepts– Nathan Sawyers – 4th place 

Intro to Business Procedures– Macy Pearson – 4th place 

Intro to Marketing Concepts – Sophie Kenig – 5th place 

Intro to Social Media Strategies  – Nathan Sawyers & Sophie Kenig – 2nd place 

Public Service Announcement (PSA) – Owen Kenig &  Caleb Goodloe – 3rd place 

Securities & Investment – Dan Murphy – 5th place 

Securities & Investment – Bodee Fielder – 4th place 

Spreadsheets Applications – Katie Taylor – 3rd place 

Website Design – Lynze Walker & David Martinez – 1st place

Mrs. Egan said, “I am so proud of our students and how hard they worked!  We are looking forward to State competition which will be held in April in Springfield, MO.” She expects these amazing students to do well in competition because she knows just how hard they’ve worked. The following eight students will move on to the state level competitions for the categories listed below:

Lynze Walker commented that she is “really excited to go to state with [her] friends and have a fun experience with them.” Sophie Kenig commented that she is looking forward to kicking butt at competition.
