All while the petting zoo was being put on, on Valentines day there was an Arrive Alive tour. It is this simulator where it shows you the affects drinking and driving can have on someone. About 107 of our students here at Wheatland R-II got to get behind the wheel and try out this new simulator. Those who got behind the wheel had to do a survey and approximately 30.8% out of the 107 students marked that they frequently or sometimes text and drive. After doing the Arrive Alive tour 100% of the students chose that they would never drive impaired/intoxicated. This was a successful simulation that opened up the eyes of many students and will hopefully save a life.
