The girls’ basketball team at Wheatland had amazing players this season. We are all very proud of them. It was super emotional for everyone, especially the seniors. I’ve decided to ask senior Taylor Gant some questions about the game.

I asked her what the best part of playing basketball was, and she said, “learning life skills such as leadership and teamwork”. I then asked her what her favorite memory was this season, and she said, “Probably senior night because of how supportive my teammates were. Another favorite is the district semi-final game against Stoutland when we were all hype and worked well together”.

There are lots of lessons to be learned, and she told me the best advice she could give next year’s basketball player was, “Don’t take it for granted! Leave everything out on the floor because you never know when it could be all over”.
