Today I’ll be shining some light on Junior Mason Hunt.

Mason Hunt has been going to Wheatland R-II school for 12 years this year. Little did Mason know that her very first day of Kindergarten would be her favorite school memory for years to come. “When I got on the bus for the first day of Kindergarten, I was trying to talk to Noah Hardin and he said, really quietly, ‘My mom said I shouldn’t talk to strangers.'” Mason is in FBLA and her favorite class in Chemistry. “It (Chemistry) makes sense for me, it’s like a series of logic puzzles and I love Murphy’s class!”

What Mason thinks is the most stressful part of this year, is the work and harder classes. “There’s a lot more work than last year, I think, and several of the classes are harder, at least for me.” Mason’s favorite part about being a junior is driving to school and being close to being an adult without all the stress of being a senior. If Mason could go back in time or a specific grade level she would go back to fourth or fifth grade. Mason joked that the reason for going back to fourth or fifth grade is because “That’s where my math level is.” Mason joked. Mason’s advice to next year’s juniors is don’t fall asleep in Algebra II!
