Student Council Movie by Kaloni Krueger
“We are not looking to make money on this particular event, we just want to help out our local food pantry” said Ms. Lutz. Thanks to our student council we got to watch a movie on October 19th, during 4th and 5th period. The entry fee was $1 or a canned good. We got to watch Paul Blart: Mall Cop. The members of the student council got to choose the movie. The Student Council members are President Cole Howlett, VP Chloe Pearson, Secretary Taylor Gant, and Treasurer Caleb Goodloe. The main reason the student council wanted the movie was because we were helping to gather donations for the Hickory County Food Pantry.

2023 Junior ASVAB Test by Kaloni Krueger
Every junior is obligated to take the ASVAB test during high school. It was down in the library at 7:55am on Nov. 13. ASVAB stands for Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. This measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the Military. ASVAB scores determine if you are qualified to enlist in the Military and assign you to an appropriate job. The ASVAB assesses not what you have learned but what you can do. It took the juniors approximately an hour and a half to complete. We
a survey to determine how confident they were before taking the ASVAB and if they would consider joining the Military. Overall the ASVAB went great.
